Celebrates 5^th Anniversary

The Lower Lonsdale Business Association and the John Braithwaite Centre will be celebrating the 5^th Anniversary of The Lower Lonsdale Fall Festival in the 100 block of 1^st Avenue West on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  Everyone is invited to attend and all the events are FREE.

The Lower Lonsdale Fall Festival will host a variety of activities and showcase local business and organizations along with continuous stage and street entertainment.

   Ø 9:00am Pancake Breakfast
        Ø 10:15am Opening Ceremonies and Festival’s 5^th Anniversary Cupcake Celebration at the
             Lower Lonsdale Business Association tent
        Ø All day celebration of North Shore Neighbourhood House 70th Anniversary
   Ø Kids Activities all day long! North Vancouver Fire Fighter Truck #11 ladder truck, reptile
             exhibit, bouncy castle and our special Vancouver Aquarium mascot Bee Bop Beluga
          Ø Musical Entertainment on the main stage – Childsplay, an explosive 15 and under punk rock
             band, the North Shore’s own Draycott Swamp Devils, playing “west coast celtic swamp
             music, Circle of Friends, a multi taltented group playing a combo of celtic, pop folk and
             early rock n’ roll and Kutipara, a five piece miramba and percussion ensemble.
        Ø Draws throughout the day for “hot” prizes
        Ø Dance Demonstrations by Hot Flash Hoffers and the JB Tappers.
        Ø Easy Dancers will be there to let you do some dancing too!
        Ø Roving Performances – Mark The Wanderer Crystal Ball Juggling, Graham the Magician
                and Public Dreams Stilt Walker Michele Christen 
        Ø NEW THIS YEAR – The Edge Climbing Wall, Lower Lonsdale Craft Fair
        Ø In the street demos by Griffins Boxing, Natural Trekking Nordic Pole Walking, Second Wave
            Skate and Snow Board Shop, Obsession Bikes and Paws For Dance

And of course, browse the many local organization and business Display Booths for information and activities in your neighborhood.

The Lower Lonsdale Business Association also organizes the Party-at-the-Pier, scheduled for Saturday September 5^th  & Sunday September 6^th  and the annual Christmas Festival of Lights & Carol Ship Celebration held in December at the foot of Lonsdale.
